This is a guess — I’m betting one of LeBron’s athlete colleagues recommended the doctor in California, and since he has all kinds of money it’s no problem for him to fly to the west coast and have it done.

The man can afford to go anywhere he wants in order to get his surgery done. His eyes are one of the most important things in his life, without them he has no means of making a living for himself. I’m relatively certain that he chose the best doctor on the planet in that field of surgery.
Im sure the doctors at the Cleveland Clinic aren’t taking it too personally

the Clevland Clinic is a great Hospital….one of the best in the World!…but maybe there is an eye specialist in Cali that Lebron wanted to go to………..Maybe while he’s here he can talk to Mitch and try on a Purple and Gold uniform?…..

It’s California. Enough said right there. If you could afford to have surgery done anywhere you wanted, would you rather stay in the snow tundra of Ohio or go to the paradise of California? Plus he probably knew when his eyes were fixed that the sights would be MUCH better out there.

Hmm lets see, where would I prefer to be, Cleveland or Los Angeles, hmm, LA has beaches, celebs, beautiful weather, palm trees, (all sorts of trees for that matter), the women look better or Cleveland, located in the armpit of the United States, no winning teams in any professional sport league in my lifetime, and I’m getting pretty old, Ho hum on the women but Halle Berry did come from Ohio I do give yall that…oh but she lives in LA now….so let me take that back…anyway its obvious If I was to do anything it wouldn’t be in Cleveland.

You are right. Being from Cleveland I can agree that some of the best doctors in the world are a the Cleveland Clinic. But this is mostly a cosmetic surgery. That being said, most of those doctors are out in CA. And like one person stated, he may have a friend who knew a good doctor for that out there. I’m sure it was done by an optomologist but some of them are specailizing in only cosmetic surgeries like this.
