Me too. The first eye gave me trouble at first. I was very sensitive to light, saw light beams (like X, a double beam) and the eye drops hurt. If eye drops hurt, warm them up a bit & maybe that will help. After about 5 days, it was more normal, but still had the light beams.
The second eye was a piece of cake! Up and around by suppertime and never looked back.
    Each one is different.
Good luck and good eyesight to you!

They didn’t tell you a few things:
There is sensitivity to light that lasts about a month.
You may have Halos, Star bursts, and Glare for the first month.
Loss of visual clarity for about 3 months.
Dryness of the eyes, which can cause redness, itchiness, blurred vision, crusting, or the sensation that there is something in your eye for up to 6 months.
And loss of contrast sensitivity, which means you can lose the ability to see things clearly and you wont be able to drive. This also lasts up to 6 months.
You already know the worst case scenario, you could have permanent damage. But if the doctor who did the surgery has a lot of experience, they these side effects should only be temporary. One more thing…… Do NOT rub your eyes!

  3. Policía de la Inteligencia says:

I got mine and I could see clearer right after the surgery but it was a little blurry from adjusting. The worse that can happen is you rub your eyes too soon like while you’re sleeping so please wear the goggles thet give you. I know they are hideous, but at least you’ll be sleep. They told me the more you sleep, the faster your eyes heal. They gave me Tylenol with codine so I was good. I absolutely love my new eyes. I love it.

  4. Edward Bongshanks says:

Well the worst is blindness. But I’ve heard stories of people having permanent double vision and other weird stuff like that. From what I’ve heard these side effects are pretty rare. I’ve thought long and hard about getting lasik but knowing my luck I’ll be the one guy out of 10,000 that goes blind, so I’m going to stick with my contacts.

  5. Becky S says:

blindness is the worst that could happen.
i hear it sometimes takes two weeks to get better vision, depending on the procedure you had.
    i would call.

  6. David E says:

You should have a follow up visit today. Standard care after LASIK is one day, one week and one month. Your doctor can tell you what is happening with your eye.

  7. Ella says:

the worst? u could go blind!! but maybe wat happened to u is that it didnt work or its just taking a lil while more! call ur doctor to see wats up!

  8. Gina says:

could go blind. How much did it cost?
I want to get it my eye sight keeps deteriorating and its really annoying.

  9. devonc01 says:

    You could go blind?
I wouldn’t look at a computer screen for those 24h…

  10. MIck says:

    You die.

  11. Clair says:

    honestly blindness… very unlikely though

  12. Cankler says:

youll be blind in 7 years
