I Had Lasik A Year Ago. Why Do I Still Feel Like I Need To Remove My Contacts?

I mean, its great that I don’t have contacts to remove, but it just freaks me out that after so long I still feel the need to.

How Can I Safely Remove Eye Makeup After Lasik Surgery?

My doctor tells me it is ok to wear eye makeup one week after having IntraLasik surgery, but I am not supposed to rub my eyes for a full month.
This seems really contradictory to me. How can you safely remove the makeup without rubbing? (at least a little bit.)
