I’ve looked into this a little bit for myself and the answer to your question is lasik eye surgery is does NOT always turn out 100% correct. There are horror stories like any other surgical procedure but it seems, for the most part, it works wonderfully. I agree with another person – we have yet to see if it causes issues in the long run. The people I know who have done it (a handful), would do it again in a heartbeat. But, they were willing to take the slim risks of it not working out.

I asked my eye dr about it before. She said its not painful but in rare cases it might be. It costs about $3000 an eye. They do a check up one day after surgery, one week,one month, 6 months, and a year to make sure it went well.

I am currently wearing contact lens, I heard from a friend that each time I take out a contact lens, it peels off a layer of my cornea. He did say it would grow back after a while, I was just wondering how long does it really take for cornea to regenerate. It doesn’t matter how much sleep I get, I always have these dark circles around my eyes. I have been told that it is because I wear glasses—have for most of my life. I won’t even wear contacts or consider Lasik surgery because at least my glasses help to hide it to some degree. Any ideas?
