How Much Is Lasik Surgery? How Long Are You Out Of Commission To Work?

The cost for Lasik varies from around $499 an eye to over $2,500 an eye. The lower end of the price range is usually for simpler surgeries of patients who do not have any or much astigmatism. However, it is a good idea not to let price be the deciding factor when choosing a doctor to perform your laser eye surgery. While it is still considered an elective surgery by most insurance plans, and therefore they will not cover it, most reputable vision centers have a variety of payment options to suit any budget.

The cost depends on the doctor you go to. Don’t look for the cheapest–look for the most qualified. Find a doctor with an excellent reputation. Don’t go to Lasik-R-Us or something like that. lol.
I was at work the next day. I would like to have maybe taken that next day off, (just to be a little extra safe and give my eyes an extra day to rest) but I didn’t have that much personal time to take. I was fine, though.

LASIK varies in price from $1000 – $2500 per eye. I would not ber concerned about the price as I am the physican performing the surgery. Before you decide to have LASIK visit 3 different LASIK sites and meet each physician and staff and ask questions that mean the most to you and your vision.
If you where to have surgery on a Friday you can go to work on Monday with very little limitations. Some patients who have the surgery in the AM go back to the work the very next day but I will say everyone has a different experience with refractive surgery. If you can take two day off that should be enough for you to feel comfortable.
