Everything is 100% covered. As far as lasik there is a waiting list and that can be up to a year. Good luck.

Everything is 100% free, but you get the run around.
They’ll say that you need this done first, and this and this, they like to see if they can put a quick fix instead of fixing the root of the problems.
As for Lasik, it’s true, I’m actually taking my roommate on base for his lasik in about an hour. Yay.
I’m not sure about the waiting list, I know that he found out he was getting deployed, and it’s only taken about 2 months for him to go from working in an office, to being transferred to another unit, and getting surgery, to be deployed in January.
If you plan to get married later, your wife will be required to get referrals for everything, and prescriptions have a 3 dollar charge.
OH!, and while you’re in boot camp they will drill it into your head to go to medical, and when you hit fleet a lot of people will try to make you feel bad for going to medical, but don’t be afraid to go to medical, you will have the best healthcare at your disposal, don’t be afraid to use it. The Marine Corps isn’t afraid to break you. Don’t be afraid to ask them to fix it.
That I learned from my husband putting off his shoulder and knee damage from boot camp, and being too much of a chicken to go into medical that now he has like 8 big things to get fixed…instead of one small thing every couple of months or years.
