My doctor tells me it is ok to wear eye makeup one week after having IntraLasik surgery, but I am not supposed to rub my eyes for a full month.
This seems really contradictory to me. How can you safely remove the makeup without rubbing? (at least a little bit.)
Thanks!
How Can I Safely Remove Eye Makeup After Lasik Surgery?

I work for an ophthalmologist, and have had lasik myself. GREAT to be able to see isn’t it?!?!?!
Anyways you can wear makeup a week to 2weeks post op.
BUT use something gentle to remove it. I use and Avon eye cream, but really any makeup remover would work. What your Dr wants is for you Not to dig in and really rub your eyes. That could dislodge your flap and he would then have to fix it. AND that can mess up your vision for good.
Recommendation JUST BE GENTLE. And patient, it is worth it.
just be safe and dont wear eyemakeup for a month..its very hard but instead of wearing mascara, and eyeliner, just wear a light eyeshadow so that you dont have to rub your eye when you remove it, you would just have to gently swipe your finger over your eyelids.
Mary Kay Oil Free Eye Makeup Remover, you dont have to rub at all and it doesnt irritate your eyes, I know a girl that wears contacts using it while her contacts are still in, its really good!
