So I am having Lasik surgery tomorrow and just a few minutes ago, I started getting this weird feeling, like I have butterflies in my stomach. I have been wearing glasses ever since I can remember, so I guess I have some sort of sedimental attachment to my glasses. I’m not exactly scared of the procedure its self, but just with how I am going to feel emotionally after it.
I know this may sound weird, but did anybody have a similar experience like mine?
Experience With Lasik Surgery ?

It’s not exactly the same, but when I wore contacts(I rarely took them out) I got up every morning and reached for my glasses despite not needing them. I also all throughout the day, reached up to adjust my glasses, but they obviously weren’t there.
It will definitely be an adjustment. I wouldn’t worry too much about any emotional feelings.
You are going to have microsurgery on your eyes. Even though Lasik is successful the vast majority of the time, no surgery is perfect and every surgery has an element of risk. Being a little stressed before Lasik indicates that you may be well informed of the potential risks as well as the potential benefit.
You may find the USAEyes Competence Opinion Relative to Expectation (CORE) patient survey interesting. It indicates what other laser vision correction surgery patients say about their experiences.http://www.usaeyes.org/lasik/faq/lasik-r…
