I’ve looked into this a little bit for myself and the answer to your question is lasik eye surgery is does NOT always turn out 100% correct. There are horror stories like any other surgical procedure but it seems, for the most part, it works wonderfully. I agree with another person – we have yet to see if it causes issues in the long run. The people I know who have done it (a handful), would do it again in a heartbeat. But, they were willing to take the slim risks of it not working out.
No way. I’d ask about a “clear lens exchange” which is like the cataract procedure, about the same price, has a longer track record and more easy to revise.
No. I saw a show where a doctor who performs the procedure say that he would NEVER have it. For all we know, in 20-30 years there could be a whole new class of people with sight issues, because no one knows what the effects of the procedure will be in 20-30 years.
i’ve accompnied my bf when he consulted doctor about lasik. see this http://allexperienced.com/lasik/lasik.ht... it roughly summarizes the procedures; and says a bit about post-surgery stuff. hope it helps
not always. I am sure there are some risks associated with them
dont take my word for it but apparently there is always a 30% chance your eyes will end up worse than they were before the procedure.
no
No there’s always a slim chance something could go wrong and you can be blind if anything does go wrong.
No, it doesnt always give you perfect vision, You’ll still need reading glasses by about 45, it can be over or under corrected, and there can be infections…
I suggest you do a search on lasik complications, educate yourself, then decide if the risks are worth it. Surgical interventions are never 100% guaranteed.
mine did, best thing i’ve ever done. but the day of the surgery they make you read and sign this long wavier listing things that can happen. including blindness and death(although i don’t see how i could die).
most of the time, yes….my mom got lasik and she can see almost as if she had 20, 20 vission….there may be risks with it but most of the time it turns out great…if yr thinking about i say go for it!
